Durain for deserts after dinner! Dunno where did my father got the durians from, but never mind, get to eat durians. Quite long time since i ate my last durian. Then again these durians are very "meaty", but at least i have a (small) box of durians, so should be enough to "fill my stomach". Erm...cannot eat too many also leh, cos gotten uclers on my lips, quite painful at times, so got to avoid too heaty food. For consolation, my house got watermelon leh. So can choose to eat either one, scare eating both will have "stomach problems", but really want to eat both leh!?

And btw, gotten my final sem results liao! I've passed my higher diploma liao, with a credit, and (again) gotten high distinction for another computer related module. Am i in the wrong course or wat? Why do i keep getting higher grades for computer related subjects...shld have taken IT issit?

Anyway, these days seems to be HOT hor even though i'm at home. Cause i so restrain to leave my room, reason because i got air-con in my room. Is it becasue it is summer time or it is just me?

This week's weekend is quite packed so only managed to find time to blog now. Let's start with

Sat...

Sat 23/06
Journeyed my way to paya lebar, so far away, cos i the furtherest i go is central and mostly only west side area. Wanted to meet jane at the mrt stn cos dunno how to go to the police center, but was very early, and so went to jalan jalan abit at the s'pore post center (btw it is a shopping center). During the wait, figured out how to agar agar go there liao, but since meet liao then wait for jane.

Reached the police center, saw some of the rest, kenneth and willie sitting outside the police center staircase (won't kena scold by the policeman for loitering meh?). Anyway, then went in and saw nora, chelsa and adrian all sitting at the lobby area. Obivously it was a sign for me to join them in the wait at the sofa seat. THen all of us waited for any "signs or omens" to tell us that the course is starting. Finally a pink shirt-ed guy came forward and asked whether are we here for the crime prevention course, and we nodded our head. We were then urshered up to 3rd floor for the course.

Being directed into a room full of crime prevention exhibitions, we are greeted by a lady and was asked to register our name. And the list has my corps' name inputted incorrectly...became Tampiness Sec...since when i studied or served in that sch? Still prefer Tanglin Sec leh...dun anyhow change my corps leh...(btw is the fault of NHQ). After registration, we saw and smell "old chang kee" and felt hungry, and so is the anticipation for the refreshment time. Hmm...esp adrian lah, cos he mentioned he wanted to eat the curry puffs, and sort of has "plannings" to get himself to more curry puffs.

Watch a video, then a talk. The talk was more fun than the video but starting of the talk was quite boring...maybe the instructor or the audience (which is us) or both still haven get over our sleep. Later part was interesting with quite a few of jokes. Then finally was the refreshment time, we enjoyed the refreshment and started interacting with each other. After that another video and the course ended...erm...my feeling was "like that nia?", cos they did not touch on how we should exactly conduct the course, but at least she said that the coordinator will provide us with more info. Either way lah, i already know most things abt the conducting liao, so i go like go for nuthing much leh!? But at least i got a cert to certigy that i'm a instructor for crime prevention liao!

After the course went for lunch at LJS with nora, chelsa and jane, then talk abit and we went off. Proceeded to my next destination, which is West Coast Park, quite difficult to go there from paya lebar leh, changed a few mrt and bus before reaching. Was lucky to meet up with my corps members, as they are walking into the park. Went to search for the "pit-less" pit, cos ei chien booked a BYOP pit, which stands for "bring your own pit". Everyone was complaining to ei chien for her "recommendations" lor, me too. The worst is can't find the pit, and ei chien dun exactly know where is it. After much commotion finally found the pit and prepared abit before we start bbq-ing. Went to start a fire, quite sucessful, and bbq-ed a few prawns and within minutes can smell the fragrance of prawns. Quite fun doing bbq-ing and especially with a BYOP, cos a number of pple walked past and we can hear them discussing wat are we doing. One of them was so loud that i pretended to talk to someone by saying..."bcos is BYOP". Obviously not many pple know of such thing leh...including me!

This is one of the few fotos of me at the bbq taken by shusian. Why choose this one with a "urh" expression, cos this is the only foto that is better looking. And bcos this foto doesn't make me look fat. See the "thing" on the grill...that's the prawns that i'm talking abt. Why you dun see anybody, cos i think they preaparing something or on my right side doing another pit.

The bbq was fun cos i find it fun and the rest are enjoying it too. But too bad lah...quite a number went back early...but that's the disappointment lah. Otherwise was a good event, great experience of a BYOP!

Sun 24/06

Woke up at 6.15 AM...wa biangz...when i was so tired from yesterday's bbq session, cos went home quite late. Prepared myself in 30 mins and journeyed down to HQ for the ceremony, later my regret for not spending more time preparing.

Reached liao, saw the cadets were there already, but cannot find my fellow log. So instead i start preparing some of the items first. Followed did the banner...by weiye and companies lah, while i do the seats. Wa lau they keep on changing the plans leh...make the cadets "go stun" and forward the chairs. Then finally all the logistic are done and it was time for the ceremony.

During the ceremony, me and afew other officers were toking behind and laughing at jokes, trying to entertain ourselves as the cadets make their way to the stage to collect their deserving badges. Upon Zone 7, then i was more attentive liao, "DEMANDED" (haha!) our zone members to clap loudly for their fellow peers and of course i also joined in the clapping team.

Finally the last cadet went up to collect her badge, hurrah, the officers including me. Then was tea reception together with foto taking, waited for our zone turn and went for the foto taking.

After that then realise i din style my hair, and i believed it is in a mess, OMG, how will i turned out in the fotos? Someone who juz got off his bed? OMG...pls remind me to style hair for all foto taking in the future! But still i hope they can send me the foto lah, even though i might looked like a FREAK, but still i wan to keep it as a keepsake, cos this is my first batch of cadets i helped them processed their badges.

At last was my eating time, after getting my food, got asked to help take foto for NH. After that back to my plate, then came annoucement for all officers for a group foto, diao!? my food! Took the foto liao, again back to my plate. Was looking for my corps members but cannot find them, cos wanna congrats them. Back was interupt by some other things...after that pple slowly disappeared and they started packing up. So after my food also went to did my packing up cos i'm in log mah. Oh ya...did a improvised table skirting with used cloth and double-sided tape and it turn up really like a normal looking skirting...good job leh...BA(Hon) in improvisation.

Gonna take this opportunity to congrat Cynthia, Ling Feng, Ei Chien, and Pearle for their hard work in earning the Chief Commissioner's Badge! So if any of you chanced upon this "great" blog imagine me shaking hands with me oh!

After the event rushed down to IMM for a lunch meeting with khee and lin. Ate at the popular HK food outlet outside daiso. Tried the recommendations from khee, and the food are quite good and the portions are alot. Juz the baked rice can already made me full liao, but we ate two side dishes and three deserts too. So full! And this is a treat from khee cos he said he gotten his bonus, btw a disclaimer...we din eat this much bcos it was a treat...bcos all this are ordered by khee.

So that shld be all to conclude for my two weekends liao, and i doubt i will have anymore to shared in the night time cos i'm feeling tired from the busy schedules liao. Need to do some hibernating in my room with the air-con switch on and leisure surf the net for interesting things or maybe have a couple of chats before i decided to go lay on my bed to sleep. BTW tml receiving my results...WAH...so nervous leh, scare got kena failure leh even though i think i did quite ok for all the assignments leh. but still will find it abit nervous leh. Probably the tiredness will drive it away...and PRAY PRAY i kena good grades...yeah..."OMG listern to this "poor boy" prayers".

After my "arduous" journey to beach rd, dropped by at bukit panjang plaza to buy the mosquito patch at watsons. Then spotted 'Hello Panda', all four favours! So decide to try the 'Double Choco'. After paying, receive 90 cents, and bcos i dun wanna keep this cents, i went for "window shopping". Saw NTUC and went in to see see, found 'Hello Panda' again, and also found that it cost cheaper than watson. Per 50g pkt cost 85 cents at NTUC and 90 cents in watson, and best double choco cost $1.15! (Kena cheated...) Then decided to buy another pack, this time strawberry favour.

Somehow, my "aspiring food journalist" was awaken! So i decided to take fotos of the snacks that i just brought and write something abt it on my blog. Maybe a editor will chance upon my blog and will get me to write for a food or snacks magazine. That will be a dream come true man, and i get to enjoy all sort of food!!! (Fat chance!)

Double Choco on the left, and Strawberry on the right!

You won't missed it, cos each favours has different color packaging. Double Choco is yellow and Strawberry is pink. If you are color blind, then you can read bah!?

Also buy it at NTUC, cos they selling it at 85 cents. Unless you can find somewhere cheaper then go ahead and buy it, but hor remember to check the expire date leh!

You see that! That black black thingy is Double Choco! You can hardly see the picture on the biscuits...i have a hard time trying to figure out the picture of each biscuit. That why i stopped at the first.

For the taste, it was really more chocolate-ty than the rest. The taste part i not very good, cos i really tasted it as a more chocolate-ty.

Within a few minutes, i finished up all the Double Choco in the 50g pack! See...you can't find any trace of Double Choco, and you wouldn't know it was Double Choco if i haven told you.

Followed up at 10 plus after my shower, it's time for the opening of the second pack. Strawberry!

Can't wait to get my hand onto the biscuits!

As expected within minutes, the pack is down to one. Oh and for the taste...it is strawberry-ty, tat of cos lah! But when compared to Double Choco, i prefer Strawberry cos i feel that Strawberry gives you a "cheerful" feeling. You don't feel sick of it after finishing the pack, but Double Choco has that feeling for me. Of cos this also suggest that Double Choco is indeed very chocolate-ty lor.

And finally Hello Panda went to where they are supposed to go. The biscuit of cos went into my stomach and will come out in another form tml. As for the packaging, they go right into my rubbish bin lah!

Woah...this is my first time writing such an foto extensive blog entry, and i can tell you it is really a difficult job. But i guess good for you readers lah, cos alot of graphic mah.

Anyway there is more to come lah, cos i have only try Double Choco and Strawberry. I am going to try Vanilla and the original, so be prepared for a sequel lor!

Wat a great time to start writing on my blog...like in the very early morning at 12 plus! Don't like the feeling of writing on late morning, afternoon, or evening...only like to write things in the night. Probably bcos i'm a "night cat" or in mandarin "ye mao zi", seem that i have more to share in the night than any hour of the day, but maybe also bcos at night i have more things to write about...like wat happen in the morning, afternoon, and evening. Haha...life for me now seems "pretty" boring so not much to share, have to accumlate the little interesting things before i can write out a proper length of post.

Anyway, this weekend luks very interesting again, cos later in the night got PARTY. Hmm...it is actually a bday celebrations for my two cousins, mostly (definitely) alchol is the only drinks that will be served. So i've prepare for the countless neats of vodka and shots of tequila, oh and the very fun tequila pop!

These days i only luk forward to gathering of SJ and my cousins, cos it is sure to have fun. But also bcos no galfren at the moment mah, so cannot enjoy any romantic time. Thinking about galfren, sometime i preferred to be carefree so to be able to go or do watever i wan, but then there are times i would like to someone to care for me. But...(so many but-s) then i think at this moment i prefer a carefree life more than a relationship.

Oh ya...my best fren Sharon is getting married...OMG! but her reason to me was quite lame lah. She told me bcos she is not young liao so need to get married soon, wa cau she is like only afew months older than me leh!? Anyway good for her lah, can get married and some people like us doesn't even have a galfren or boyfren...bahahaha! Why everyone have to get married this year, 3 weddings...why can't they spread out so that every year got happy occasion. Guess i juz need to buy one set of clothes and i can go for every one...cheapo!

Hello guys, i'm back from Combined Corps Camp 2007, today! And i'm now being officially a "Combiner", what is it? It is to term a participant of the above mentioned camp, instead of camper, trainee, trainer, or officer...we are together-ly known as Combiner! Hmm...start to wonder whether shld we name our camp commandant as Head Combiner?

Take a read at what some memorable moments happened at the camp:

Day 0 (a.k.a. advance party)
Went to AI at ard 9 plus to help build the campcraft structure with weiye and some seniors, hmm...rather than building it, i was only helping to move the structure around, just like elyas! Nothing much happened later until 1400 hrs which the trainers start to book in. The interesting part is the bunking in, keep hearing someone dun have this and that, most memorable is kenneth who din bring his toothpaste, toothbrush, mug, slippers. The most stunning is that his uniform cover is made of trash bag! Initially wanted to get him to do reporting every hour with a costume of trash bag, but kept forgetting until no time to do.

Day 1
The booking in of trainees...this was soooooooooo slow leh, we as the observe the trainees as they drag their heavy bags and heavy wooden poles (?) onto the parade sq. We found "potential" candidates for Singapore's Next Top Model, cos they have really special pose when they stand. Joking told some that we shld have a runaway for them to come into the school man! Discipline was really slack, so the officers began switching into "no mercy" mode. During the inspection get to know these five "wonderfully" guys, zhenhao, wei loon, chester, nigel, and nicolas. They are so "wonderful" that they made this camp so funny! They officers dun know whether to scold them or laugh cos they really have very unexpected reaction man, especially nicolas ("huh"...his fav opening line)! The COS of the day also very interesting guy, cos he got really alot of "pattern", and also a joker lah!

Day 2
Nothing much in the day though but night was different. At night was firedrill, and really tekan the campers jia lak jia lak, cos they really take their own sweet time. Some can't even wake up, still need me to go wake them up. Asked them to wake up nicely initially, no response, shouted then got response but still taking their time. Shouted again and rushing them, really super blur leh, guess who are they? (hint: "the wonderfuls") The most memorable moment is at night when nicolas reported to me, he came reporting in his mickey mouse t-shirt. After talking and he is ready to go, i commented to him that you got a nice mickey mouse t-shirt. And suddenly he used his hand to cover mickey mouse and ran out of the room, so unepected that everyone in the room was laughing.

Day 3
Fun of today is the photo taking, really try lots of different ways to take group photos. First was normal group photo where everyone is seated in rows...like class photo lor! Then was a breakdown of respective groups, got "bunny" style and the "look at our backs" style by the officers, which i suggested it. Then we tried jumping in our photos but not able to capture. After the rain is gone, we went to take a formation one. Everyone formed the letters CCC 07, which weiye and me is the the dots between the Cs. Then at night was wandering about the campsite looking for people to entertain me, found myself talking to two trainers on night duty, then one of them ask me why he kena COS, then explained to him. Makes me recall last time someone also asked me why he was kena DN (previously known). Surprisingly both are appointed bcos of the same reason, cos they got this "attitude". After which went to prowl with the four "wonders", and found that they dun feel stress with me following them, instead they are themselves. They shown their normal self, the silent is no more the slient, the shy is no more the shy, so different from what they showed.

Day 4
Yeah book out day! Finish the pack up at around 1 plus and journeyed to northpoint for lunch, had LJS with james, shusian, and jane. We tok about the camp and was laughing away, so many things happened in the camp that can make us laugh like crazy. On the journey home, felt that i can rest liao cos the camp is closed but also feeling sad cos that may be the last time everyone spend time together.

Time for some other stuffs:

My first experience as the Deputy Camp Commandant was dauting at first but later found that the camp has assemble a wonderful committee that is efficient, thus i faced little problems with the planning and execution of the camp. Do not whether i've done well in my duties, cos i kinda of like practicing free -and-easy leadership, leaving authority to the heads in their respective area of command. Cos i believe this way the camp will be able to expeience with many different "styles" and not confined to my style.

Then my another experience is as the Ops Officer overseeing the programs. Initially wanted to teach my deputy and asst what i've learn through my experience, but the result wasn't up to my expectation. My way to teach is to let you learn through hand-on, so i'll make you work instead but after that i wonder if both of them had learned anything?

A big thank you MUST be expressed to the following people:

Nora, Jane, Weixian for their wonderful administation of the camp.

James, Zhiwei, Chelsa, Yi hui, and Atikah for their CC and BCC skills in ensuring the safety aspect of the camp.

Myself, Jiawei, and Chui han for the everchanging schedules.

Shuian, Yu(zhu)feng, Melissa, and Zihui for being able to meet with the big demands of resources of the camp.

Weiye and Yi fang for their efforts in leading the trainer and trainees, also their efforts in the courses of the camp.

Keith, Elyas, Yong yue, Hao guang, Iffa, Hanisah, Valencia, and Angela for all the memorable photos of the camp and not to mention those ugly photos of mine.

Teachers for being so supportive of what we did for the camp and being understanding of our actions.

All HQ trainers for their effort in their dept duties and their work on telematch and campfire nite.

All Group Commanders for their leaderships in leading the groups and their work on ice breakers and night expedition.

All trainees for coming to the camp and making it happen.

*Hope i din missed out anyone, remind me if i do cos the mind not yet rested enough.

Lastly, hope that next year there will be another Combined Corps Camp, and making it a annual event that cannot be missed! Cya guys next year!

Yesterday...on Vesak Day...instead of go praying, but then again we aren't in the religion,
we gang of cousins went to watch Pirates 3 at cineleisure. Gosh...too long didn't go orchard liao, cannot remb where the hell is cineleisure at, even resorted to search for it on the streetdirectory.com.

After gathered and brought tickets for a later show, we have abt an hour time for some bites (or rathe lunch for some). Went to the restuarant that offers hong kong food, did not eat anything except for trying the "yuan yang". My cousins tried chicken chop baked rice and is really chicken chop baked rice...cos they serve you with a piece of chicken chop on top of the rice and is covered up with cheeze like any other baked rice. One of them also tried the curry chicken bread, which he said it was nice! Got to try it myself someday too!

12.45 liao...we hurried to the cinema for Pirates 3, no advertisements unlike the cinema where you got to see advertisements before the show. Show started and the cinema is soon to be filled with laughters. Dun worry i will not reveal the story to you guys, just wanna to tell you guys to see the show...cos the 3hrs show has lots of funny sences that will really make your day! Oh...btw remb to stay after the credits cos there will be a extra scene!

After the show, we decided to go meet another cousin at the book fair. Wa biang the journey was fraught with lots and lots of people, there was even a jam at the brigde to suntec. Traffic jams are common but not human jam lor! Eventually we decided to go suntec via marina, thinking do abit of window shopping, but was very wrong...so so so many people.

Finally reached suntec, and after a short walk at the book fair we decide to leave the human packed disaterous place for a much more quieter place...our favourite hang out place...also my neighbourhood...bukit panjang plaza! Also bcos got straight bus from suntec to plaza lah!

After reaching back to "homeground" the feeling was so good sia...no more the feeling of pressure...no more walking so slowly to only advance afew centimetres. Went to Mac for a rather big feast...ate the shrek meal and shared a box of 20 pcs nuggets...woah that was too much for a person having diet sia!

Overall quite a wonderful day for me lah, hope that you readers also had something interesting on this day! If you dun...feel happy for me lor...then maybe you will be happier...bahahaha!
