Recently i chanced upon this book inside a bookshop that sells plenty of books on feng shui, zi wei duo shu, bazi, etc...basically all those new age (chinese) types.

And the title of the book is (translated into english) "Teach you how to become a Feng Shui Master". So amazed that there are publisher and people authored such a book, feeling that this book will entertain me and also bcos the cost of the book is onl $12+. So i brought the book as a form of entertain.

This book takes you thru what a Feng Shui Master needs to know like the different schools of feng shui like San He and San Yuan which includes Xuan Kong Da Gua, Fei Xing (Flying Stars), and Ba Zhai (Eight Mansion). Have gained myself some information on Xuan Kong Da Gua bcos that is the only school that i've yet to study, but after reading it in this book i think i'll skip it cos the usage is not suitable for housing audits unless your house is like the palace lah!

Then it goes thru with what a master should do before, during, and after the audit. Also included are the FAQs of feng shui and the possible cures to some problems.

Upon the end of the book there is ad saying that a 2nd book will be out and is for the professional master...haha! i wonder if i can find the book?

So the questions comes, am i a feng shui master now? Of cos not lah, if like that everyone can become one with just 12 bucks and nobody will pay 1000+ bucks for lessons by acclaimed feng shui masters. Come to think of this, i really cannot understand the reason why people would pay such money to attend these courses whereby they can get it from books. If the knowledge is not on these books and it is really advanced knowledge not so-called advanced then there is reason to go. Which is why i can't persuade myself to go for such courses no matter how much i wanted to have certification, but then in feng shui world certification is nothing as compared to the academic world.

Another thing that i often come across is hearing people had advice from their master to do something, although the principle of it is not wrong but wrong usage. One of the most common i heard is that no matter what they have to facing the most auspicious even when the internal forms are conflicting. Don't these master know the basics that forms supercedes formulas bcos forms are the ones that affects the flow of qi, so no matter how calculations come out good it will not receive the good qi.

Sometimes i wonder if i am already a master in this field, cos there are so many so-called master giving such incorrect advice. Maybe i shld start calling myself a master, or maybe even better a grand master since i'm better than most "masters", or go even higher to call myself great grnd master...hahaha...!

So there's no need to go great lengths to find a master cos there is one just around the corner and that's ME!
